SGBV Handbook for Justice Actors
The Government of Rwanda (GoR) has made remarkable progress in preventing and responding to Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Anchored in the Constitution of 2003, revised in 2015, which guarantees human dignity and prohibits all forms of discrimination, the country has enacted legal and policy instruments including the National Policy against Gender-Based Violence and the National Gender Policy.

Policy Brief: Africa AI Stakeholder Meeting
The Africa AI Stakeholder Meeting on Innovative Governance and Capacity Building brought together policymakers, regulators, innovators, academics, civil society, and private-sector leaders from across the continent and beyond to discuss Africa’s collective approach to AI governance and capacity development. 20 countries were represented, including: Ghana; Rwanda; Nigeria; Cape Verde; Uganda; Kenya; Gambia; Togo; South Africa; Côte d’Ivoire; Cameroon; Botswana; Mauritius and Senegal, as well as global partners from Norway, Germany, Brazil, and the United States.

Sustainability Summit 2025 Policy Brief
Building on the momentum of the inaugural 2024 Sustainability Summit in Kigali, the Sustainability Summit 2025 convened leaders, practitioners, innovators, and communities in Nairobi to deepen Africa’s collective commitment to climate justice. The Summit reaffirmed a shared conviction: Africa’s climate future must be people-centered, equity-driven, and grounded in local realities.

Climate Change Terminology Glossary
The Climate Change Terminology Glossary is a practical tool created by the Certa Foundation’s Center for Climate Justice and Spruik Agency to make climate language accessible for everyone in Rwanda. By offering simplified definitions in both English and Kinyarwanda, it helps communities, educators, journalists, policymakers, and the private sector understand and communicate key climate concepts. The glossary centers justice, equity, and community leadership, bridging the gap between technical climate terms and real-life experiences. This first edition will be updated regularly, and contributions from experts and practitioners are welcomed.

Rwanda Conference on Gender & Climate Change
On 26 - 27 November, we were honoured to partner with the Ministry of Environment, GIZ Rwanda, The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation, GGGI Rwanda, and the Women for Water & Climate Cooperation Network (WWCCN) for the 2nd Rwanda Conference on Gender & Climate Change (RCGCC 2025).

GBV Session at Agahozo Shallom
On November 28, 2025, as part of the International 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, Agahozo Shalom Youth Village invited the Center for Justice and Advocacy to engage students in an informative and interactive session on Transformative Approaches to Gender-Based Violence.

16 Days of Activism Awareness Campaign in Musanze District
On 27 November 2025, the Center for Justice and Advocacy at Certa Foundation in partnership with Kvinna Till Kvinna conducted a 16 Days of Activism awareness campaign at Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College (MIPC) in Musanze District, under the national theme “All for GBV-free families” “Twubake Umuryango uzira Ihohotera” and the global call to end digital violence against all women and girls.

16 Days of Activism Awareness Campaign in Rwamagana District
On 26th November 2025, as part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), CERTA Foundation led an impactful awareness campaign in Saint Aloys, Rwamagana District, Eastern Province under the theme: “United to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls.”

16 Days of Activism Launch - Nyarugenge District
On 25 November 2025, the Center for Justice and Advocacy at Certa Foundation in partnership with Kvinna Till Kvinna conducted an awareness campaign in Nyarugenge District as part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

National colloquium
On November 13, 2025, the Center for Justice and Advocacy at Certa Foundation, in partnership with Kvinna Till Kvinna, convened the National Colloquium on Victim Protection and the Establishment of Specialized GBV Chambers.

AI Leadership Training for Parliament
This month, the Ministry of ICT & Innovation, together with GIZ, Women Political Leaders (WPL), Cenfri, and the Center for Law and Innovation at Certa Foundation, delivered a high-level AI Leadership Training for over 100 Senators and Deputies.

CLI finalizes Shareholders Agreements for Jasiri Ras Cohort
This November, the Center for Law and Innovation completed the seven (7) Shareholders’ Agreements for the Jasiri Ras cohort of startup ventures. Each agreement was crafted through dedicated one-on-one sessions with the founders, allowing us to tailor the terms to the specific needs of each venture and its shareholders.

CLI at the Africa Week
The Center for Law & Innovation joined various founders, investors and ecosystem players from across the continent for the Norrsken Africa Week 2025. The event provided an excellent platform for in-depth discussions on innovation, startup growth and investment opportunities, highlighting the pathways that are shaping the continent’s entrepreneurial future.
