The Future of Climate Education in Rwanda
On 24th October 2025, honoring the International Day for Climate Action, the Center for Climate Justice, in partnership with Spruik Agency, proudly launched the first-ever English-Kinyarwanda Climate Change Glossary, a groundbreaking tool designed to make climate language accessible to everyone, from educators and journalists to legal practitioners, policy makers, students, and community leaders.

Sustainability Summit 2025
On October 6, 2025, Certa Foundation's Center for Climate Justice and ALN Kenya co-convened the second edition of the Sustainability Summit in Nairobi, Kenya, in partnership with Green Legacy (Nigeria), GSMA (Kenya), and ICELIS Global (Qatar). The summit brought together over 100 participants, including leaders, policymakers, innovators, and advocates from across Africa, to advance climate justice through dialogue, collaboration, and community-led solutions.

Building Rwanda’s Knowledge Economy: High-Level Forum on Intellectual Property & Innovation
On 30th October, Certa Foundation was honoured to take part in the High-Level Forum on Intellectual Property and Innovation, and to witness the launch of the WIPO DL101 Customized Course for Rwanda, co-hosted by ILPD and the WIPO Academy.

Strengthening Rwanda’s Crime Prevention Strategies
On October 22, 2025, Certa Foundation was honored to attend a high-level Stakeholders’ Dialogue on Strengthening Crime Prevention Strategies, convened by the Ministry of Justice, in collaboration with justice sector institutions and UNDP, at Serena Hotel, Kigali.

From 30th September to 1st October, the Center for Law and Innovation (CLI), in partnership with the Global Network of Internet and Society Research Centers (NoC), convened the second edition of the Africa AI Stakeholder Meeting on Innovative Governance and Capacity Building in Accra, Ghana.

Trauma-Informed Interviewing, Evidence Gathering, and Support for GBV Victims
On 31st October, The Center for Justice and Advocacy in partnership with The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation under the expert facilitation of Me Uwizeyimana Dative, we hosted a transformative training workshop for justice actors from Rwamagana and Gatsibo districts, focusing on trauma-informed approaches, effective evidence-gathering, and survivor-centered support for Gender-Based Violence (GBV) cases.

Advancing Women’s Rights through Policy Alignment
On October 22–23, 2025, the Center for Justice and Advocacy (CJA) participated in a two-day workshop organized by HAGURUKA under the theme “Aligning Women’s Priorities with the National Strategy for Transformation (NST2)” at Grand Legacy Hotel, Kigali.

Strengthening Justice for GBV Victims in Nyagatare District
On 16th, October, The Center for Justice and Advocacy at Certa Foundation, in collaboration with The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation, conducted a capacity-building training for justice actors in Nyagatare District. The training focused on strengthening knowledge and skills related to laws protecting GBV victims’ rights, trauma-informed interviewing techniques, evidence collection, and referral mechanisms.

TFGBV Stakeholder Engagement 2025
On 16th October, 2025, CJA at Certa Foundation in Partnership with Kvinna Till Kvinna convened policymakers, advocates, academia, & the youth for the TFGBV Stakeholder Engagement 2025, in partnership with The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation. Together, we explored the complex intersections of tech & gender-based violence under the theme “New Frontiers, New Risks: Confronting TFGBV in the Age of Digitalization.”

Strengthening Victim-Centered Justice in Kigali
On 9th October, the Center for Justice and Advocacy at Certa Foundation in partnership with The Kvinna till Kvinna Foundation conducted a one-day capacity-building training for justice sector actors from Nyarugenge District, Kicukiro District, and Gasabo District on Trauma-Informed Interviewing, Evidence Collection, and GBV Victim Support.

Kano Climate Justice Summit Country Insight 2025
The Kano Climate Justice Summit - Country Insight 2025 marks an important milestone in Africa’s journey toward locally led, inclusive, and justice-centered climate action. This convening built on the foundations laid at the 2024 Sustainability Summit in Kigali, which emphasized the need for African perspectives to shape global sustainability dialogues. From that dialogue, we established four guiding pillars for sustainable action: environmental protection alongside economic growth, community empowerment with marginalized groups at the center, leveraging technology and data driven insights, and promoting gender equity in climate action.
