Promoting Gender Equality Through Dialogue

On 10th September 2025, a live discussion was hosted on Radio Izuba in Rwanda’s Eastern Province, Kirehe District as part of the national campaign to promote Gender and Development (GAD). The session brought together local leaders and partners, including Mr. Modetse Nzirabatinya, Vice Mayor of Kirehe District, the District Gender Officer, CNF Coordinator Pelagie Mukaneza, and Certa Foundation, represented by Me Euphrasie Harerimana.

The conversation focused on advancing gender equality within families and addressing social challenges such as alcohol abuse, drug use, and gender-based violence (GBV). Certa Foundation contributed by explaining the laws protecting families and individuals and by highlighting the legal frameworks that support the fight against GBV.

This engagement reaffirmed the shared commitment of local authorities and civil society to foster equality, respect, and community well-being.
