On 27–28 August 2025, Kvinna Till Kvinna hosted a  two-day workshop on “Leveraging Results for Fundraising and External Communications.” The training was convened in response to Mid-Term Review findings, which showed that while partner organisations collect valuable monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) data and testimonies, these are not always fully utilised to demonstrate impact externally. This gap has limited opportunities for fundraising, advocacy, and visibility, especially at a time when funding partners are placing increasing emphasis on clear, measurable results.

The workshop also built on discussions from the recent Alliance meeting, where members raised concerns about the shifting funding landscape: stronger competition for resources, greater demands for evidence, and the importance of reinforcing organisational credibility.

To ensure the sessions were impactful, organisations were represented by:

  • Executive Directors (both days)
  • MEL staff (Day 1)
  • Communications staff (Day 2)

This mix of leadership, technical, and communications expertise created a dynamic learning environment and ensured that lessons could be directly applied across functions.

Across the two days, participants:

  • Strengthened their ability to use MEL results strategically for resource mobilisation by aligning evidence with proposals and sustainability goals.
  • Built practical skills to translate programme outcomes into accessible, compelling messages for external audiences.
  • Were introduced to different communication strategies and skills to improve their organisations’ visibility and tell impactful stories of change to broader audiences.
  • Exchanged strategies on documenting and packaging results for fundraising, advocacy, and public engagement, while reinforcing organisational visibility and credibility.

By the close of the workshop, participants reported increased confidence in communicating impact, stronger strategies for positioning results to funders, and greater clarity on how to integrate MEL-driven evidence into their ongoing communication and fundraising efforts.
