The Center for Law and Innovation team, as part of its engagement with highschools in Rwanda, attended the career open day at Green Hills Academy. The focus was to inspire students to explore different careers in law and contribute to Rwanda's justice sector by offering detailed insights into the academic and professional pathways needed for law school. Following that interaction, the Center for Law and Innovation (CLI) extended internship offers to six students from Greenhills. The open day provided students with a clear understanding of the legal field, including various career opportunities and the necessary qualifications for pursuing a career in law. Building on this foundation, CLI offered a four-week internship designed to deepen students' practical knowledge and skills in the legal profession.

During the internship, students were trained by CLI professionals in a range of essential skills crucial for a successful professional career. This training included developing presentation techniques, enhancing public speaking abilities, writing meeting minutes, crafting detailed reports, managing websites, and conducting in-depth research. The internship also provided practical exposure to the legal field, also allowing students to explore various emerging areas of legal practice. This hands-on experience was aimed at helping students understand the legal profession and guide them in shaping their future career paths.

CLI remains committed to nurturing young talent and providing them with valuable skills that are crucial for their professional development. By offering this internship program, CLI seeks to foster a deep understanding of the legal field and support the growth of the next generation of legal professionals. CLI is excited to see the positive impact this initiative will have on the student's’ career trajectories.
