We are proud to share that Certa Foundation has been honored with the Champion of Diversity and Inclusion Award at the East Africa In-House Counsel Convention 2025, held under the theme “Pioneering Excellence: Navigating the Future of In-House Practice.”

This award is a recognition of our ongoing commitment to advancing justice, equity, and empowerment across Rwanda and beyond. It is not only a milestone for our institution but also a testament to the collective efforts of our team, partners, and the wider community we serve.

The convention convened leading voices in the legal community across East Africa. In his keynote, Hon. Dr. Emmanuel Ugirashebuja, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Rwanda, emphasized that technology is no longer a side conversation but a driving force in reshaping accountability, transparency, and the dignity of legal practice. The President of the East Africa Law Society further highlighted the crucial role of in-house counsel in deepening regional integration and strengthening justice across the continent.

Certa also contributed actively: our Program Manager, Abraham Rutunda, moderated the panel “The AI Revolution Unveiled: Transforming Contract Management,” which explored how AI is streamlining operations, boosting efficiency, and unlocking data-driven contracting for in-house legal teams.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated team, whose hard work made this recognition possible, and to our partners and supporters, who continue to stand with us in advancing justice and inclusion.

This award is a shared achievement, and also a call to do even more. Together, we can strengthen diversity and inclusion across legal practice, champion innovation, and build a resilient future for Africa. For partners who wish to deepen their contribution and collaboration with us in this mission, we warmly welcome further engagement and dialogue.
